What are you looking forward to about GeekGirlCon the most? Like everyone else, I am super stoked to meet, befriend, and network with some awesomely geeky people! I am also looking forward to the zine making and craft workshops!

What are your main areas of Geekdom, and how were you introduced to them? My first main area of Geekdom was video games. I was introduced to video games by my older cousins and after some major pouting and begging, my brother and I quickly procured our first NES. It was all downhill from there!

I became interested in art at an early age. My Geekdom started taking shape once I started getting into cartoons and comic books. In grade school, I was popular with the boys: they would offer me their fruit snacks in exchange for my X-Men drawings. Hey, what can I say? I’m a sucker for fruit snacks.

Dream Vacation? The crystalline resort planet Midnight.

Who was your first fictional crush, and why? Marty McFly because he was just sooooooo cool!

Fictional Character that you most relate to, and why? Jubilation Lee, because I also possess untapped potential to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level

How do you feel about the terms “Geek Girl” and “Girl Geek”? Neither here nor there, I suppose. I am not the biggest fan of labels, but I am definitely proud to be a geek.

Do you think the definition of “geek” has changed/evolved over the past 30 years? Yes, most definitely. The word used to have negative connotations and now it is something to be proud about! Time to let your geek flag fly!
